About FlareFact

Our Mission

At FlareFact, we're on a mission to create a more transparent and trustworthy internet. We believe that everyone deserves access to accurate information and the tools to verify what they read online. Our platform combines AI technology with community-driven fact-checking to help users make informed decisions about the content they consume, although we do understand the issues of systems like this, so we ask you to use it responsibly and to report any abuse, mistakes or problems you encounter.

  • Community Notes: A collaborative system where users can contribute context and verification to online content.
  • Browser Extension: Verify content directly as you browse the web.
  • Mobile App: Access verification tools on the go.
  • Open Source: Our community notes system is open-source, promoting transparency and community collaboration.

Our Team

Right now, FlareFact is a one-person operation. Here's who is trying to fix all of the bugs he made:

Kacper Potyrała

Founding Engineer

I'm the Founding Engineer at FlareFact AI—and yeah, that's pretty much it. It's a one-man operation (for now at least), so everything from backend and frontend to mobile apps and infrastructure falls under one umbrella. Whatever needs doing gets done.

Been building web stuff for over seven years, mostly with React, Next.js, Rust, and Astro. Before FlareFact, my time at Blazity was spent on migrations and architectural refactoring projects, helping companies transition to the newest tech stack, fix their outdated systems, teach their teams, and scale their products. I've also worked with a bunch of startups and companies like HP, Relativity, and Arthur.ai, creating web apps, desktop software, and backend systems along the way. Leading and helping lead several projects, especially in startup environments where wearing multiple hats and seeing things through from start to finish is the norm, has been pretty valuable here at FlareFact.
